FAQ – Invoicing Services for Sole Traders
Corosar’s invoicing service is designed for sole traders who want to outsource invoice creation. It’s especially well suited for small business owners who want to save time and minimise errors.
The invoicing service frees up your time and brings peace of mind to everyday business. When invoicing is outsourced, you don’t need to worry about schedules, invoice content, or payment follow-ups. We make sure invoices are sent correctly and on time, track their payment status, and react if payments are delayed. This helps keep your finances under control so you can focus on your work without unnecessary stress.
Yes. We ensure that VAT is calculated correctly and that all required filings are submitted on time. You’ll also receive clear reports showing all issued invoices and their current status.
We need basic information about your customers, the products or services being invoiced, VAT details, and any payment terms. We take care of the rest for you.
In most cases, invoices are sent on the same day once we’ve received the required information. We can also agree on regular invoicing days and schedules.
Yes. If you use Corosar’s accounting services, invoicing data is transferred automatically into your bookkeeping, making tax filings and reporting easier.
From 2025 onwards, the VAT threshold for small businesses is €20,000 per year. If your sole trader turnover stays below this limit, you can invoice without VAT and do not need to register for VAT. Once turnover exceeds €20,000, VAT registration is required from the moment the threshold is exceeded.
The VAT relief for small businesses has been removed, meaning VAT paid is no longer refunded even if turnover later falls below €20,000 during the year. Monitoring turnover is part of Corosar’s standard accounting services, as it’s important to keep track of this threshold and react at the right time.
For sole traders, the amount you need to invoice depends on your expenses, tax rate, and the net income you’re aiming for. In simple terms, the calculation is: Invoice amount = (desired net income + expenses + YEL contributions) / (1 − tax rate).
For example, if you want to earn €2,500 per month, have fixed expenses of €500, an estimated tax rate of 25%, and YEL contributions of €300, the calculation looks like this: (€2,500 + €500 + €300) / (1 − 0.25) ≈ €4,400.
